Rendezvous is the African Hiphop lenegd’s 7th body of work; featuring tracks recorded over various timelines and cities with an example of ‘On Code‘ ft. AKA being recorded in 2016 or even further back, ‘Kososhi‘ ft. Wande Coal who laid down his part in 2014.
M.I Abaga is famous for hoarding songs and finally we get to listen to some of it. The 15 tracked ‘playlist’ features Falz, Ajebutter and Odunsi in what seems to be a fan favorite ‘Lekki‘ if reactions since the live stream listening session and the release at midnight is anything to go by. Last year, the gift to SA’s booming hip hop scene; Sipho, released his sophomore body of work ‘Kintsugi‘ which featured singles like ‘A Long Way Home’ and ‘The Man’ that enjoyed lots of love on various playlists on Apple Music and reviews across the globe including platforms like Okay Africa, Bubblegum club, SlikourOnLife and Bimba amongst others.
