Featuring some of Africa’s finest, M.I Abaga curates an ultimate playlist for a night out in the fast paced up class part of Lagos ; Lekki.  Taking you through a journey that starts after a long day on the grind, the chill at the crib, the link up with the crew, the pre-turn up, the real vibe, the turn up, the decline and then the morning!

Rendezvous is the African Hiphop lenegd’s 7th body of work; featuring tracks recorded over various timelines and cities with an example of ‘On Code‘ ft. AKA being recorded in 2016 or even further back, ‘Kososhi‘ ft. Wande Coal who laid down his part in 2014.

M.I Abaga is famous for hoarding songs and finally we get to listen to some of it. The 15 tracked ‘playlist’ features Falz, Ajebutter and Odunsi in what seems to be a fan favorite ‘Lekki‘ if reactions since the live stream listening session and the release at midnight is anything to go by. It also features South Africa’s very own fill Up master; Cassper Nyovest in ‘Soup‘, Moelogo in ‘One Way‘, Dice Ailes in ‘Your Father‘ , CKay and Joules Da Kid in ‘Wats D Level’, Nonso Amadi in ‘Playlist‘, Yung l, U.a.X in ‘The Crew‘, Terry Apala in ‘Jiggy‘, Santi and Tomi Thomas in ‘Jungle‘ amongst a few more.

HHP aka Jabba has worked with the likes of Talib Kweli, Omar Hunter El, Gabriel Asheru Benn, Grammy Nominee Carolyn Malachi, MOBO award winner Samini from Ghana, Uganda’s Chameleon,  and has just announced an incoming album in which he will be working along side US R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn

South African lyricist, hip hop lover and creator Sipho The Gift has the spotlight on him since been named Apple Music’s favourite artist of the month of February.

Last year, the gift to SA’s booming hip hop scene; Sipho, released his sophomore body of work ‘Kintsugi‘ which featured singles like ‘A Long Way Home’ and ‘The Man’ that enjoyed lots of love on various playlists on Apple Music and reviews across the globe including platforms like Okay Africa, Bubblegum club, SlikourOnLife and Bimba amongst others.
