Burgeoning DJ duo, 2PM DJs, are in this for the long haul. Consisting of Palesa Maane and Palesa Maakwe, the pair steer away from their debut single, the hip-hop infused “Underwater” ft. Big Hash.

Instead, on “Big Girls Don’t Cry” they team up with their mentor Nhlanhla Nciza for EDM-esque lesson on womanhood.

That’s what Touchline is asking, specifically addressing the naysayers on the anthemic, “Kuhamban’“.

Touchline, raps over a heavy bass as his wards off negative energies while incorporating call-and-response flow, similar to protest songs, for the hook.

All these elements neatly tie up for one brilliant banger.

‘Still, I Rise’.

Like a phoenix at rebirth, Chess Nthusi, makes her return to music following a prolonged hiatus due to a horrendous injury while one stage. Over this break, Chess has had time to rethink her outlook creatively and on life in general.

The evolution has resulted in the manifestation of her new EP,  “From the Ashes“; an artistic second-coming both sonically and lyrically.

It is no secret that Ckay is forging ahead with gqom in Nigeria and it has been received positively, case in point would be the release of the smash hit “Container”.

Now to follow up that tough act, the super producer drops “Gmail” ft. Dremo.

This is a reunion that was most certainly worth the wait.

A Lady of Song.

As one of the few remaining legends to rise out the Sophiatown-era of song, Mam’ Dorothy Masuka proves why she has rightfully earned the title of icon with “Nginje“.

The album is a masterful blend of the nostalgic sounds of Sophiatown and modern jazz sensibilities.

Dynamic duo, Sdudla Noma1000, take a musical journey into the wonderful world of Afro-house and all the elements that make up the genre through their aptly titled album “Freedom“.

The album is a celebration of love, life and youth, and packed with summer jams from top to bottom such as “Ndiphendule” and “Follow Me” just to name but a few.
