Dinky Kunene  – “House of MaKunene”

Dinky uses the 9-track record to showcase the versatility of craft in both the amapiano and afro-soul spaces.

Hermez – “Oasis”
Hermez, an Atlanta-born and Lagos-raised musician, launches his debut album OASIS on 28 October 2022. The 14-track piece if largely influenced by his dual citizenship; fusing Hermez’s many cultural inspirations into a tasty Nigerian afro-sonic brew. Some of the biggest names in the afro-fusion scene are present on the album, including AYLØSuté IwarTim LyreMOJO AF and more.

Blxckie – “THE4MULA”
 South African hip-hop maestro, Blxckie closes of the year with a second EP titled – THE4MULA. The 8-track includes smash hits kwenzekile and kuphuka. For this project Blxckie returns to his strictly rap roots following the R&B-strung EP 4LUV which was released on Valentine’s Day.

 Together with Naira Marley and Skiibii, Nigerian super-producer Rexxie teases his upcoming album BIG TIME with the massive holiday tune Abracadabra. Rexxie draws a ferocious blend of amapiano and afrobeats.

El Payo – “In Motion”
 In 2021, El Payo dropped his first mini-album which was received with rave reviews. The production maestro returns in full form with an upcoming 11-track album named In Motion. The results are remarkable thanks to Kid Fonque’s addition as executive producer, who combines the South African soul & jazz culture with El Payo’s producing abilities. This debut album is a gorgeous work of forward-thinking jazz from a little town in South Africa, teaming up with a full roster of South African features including SioZiyonEMAMKAY & Bokang Ramatlapeng.

Elzo Jamdong & Laïoung – “Miami Talk”
Senegal meets Italy on Miami Talk. The joint is a collaborative effort between Elzo Jamdong and Laïoung. The pair has been working on songs together remotely for several years until they eventually linked up in Miami, Florida and created this song from scratch in one night. Miami Talk is a fantastic rap tune that brings both artists’ worlds together.

Vanco – “Motherland”
 The five-track EP Motherland was created by DJ Vanco, a record producer from South Africa. The EP’s overarching theme is about unity. Together with Vanco’s trademark of addicting rhythm, drum pattern, catchy melodies, and chords, the composition’s tone has a calming impact that helps develop a sense of uniformity. Oscar MboNduduzo MakhathiniHart the BandKususa and Bonokuhle are among the contributors to the EP.

Focalistic developed and refined Ghetto Gospel, an eclectic fusion of sounds, over the years that he has been a working musician. The album takes into account both the negative and positive aspects of society as perceived by Focalistic. The body of work offers a spiritual perspective of Focalistic’s life. I t serves more as a doorway into Focalistic’s search for redemption painted on a great canvas of soothing melodies and steady drum beats.
