 And so it was, Midem 2018 was Africa focused!

From the 5th to the 8th of June, tons of people from varying sectors of the music business attended Midem; currently the largest musical conference/ festival worldwide.

With a keen focus on Africa as an emerging market that can no longer be ignored, Midem kicked off this years activities with 4 road shows from Johannesburg to Lagos, Abidjan and Brazzaville and is wrapping up with a 3 day back to back showcase, networking, conferences and festivals which end today the 8th of June.

This year saw 4 artists from Africa make the final list for the Midem Artist Accelerator; Big Star (ZA), Tshego (ZA), Bez (NG) and AKA (ZA).
