22 Sep Breathe Sunshine African Music Conference
The fourth annual Breathe Sunshine African Music Conference will be taking place from the 30th September – 1st October 2015 in Cape Town. The conference is the brain child of Black Mango and Seed Experiences, who aim to endorse knowledge transfer , training and unity in order to ensure that artists, producers and music executives reach their full potential.
Conference attendees will have the opportunity to network with music industry counterparts and meet some of the smartest and exciting artists in Africa. There will be various platforms at which creatives will be able to exchange and share ideas while learning about the music business, the latest trends and how to develop sustainable careers.
The conference will be made up of various workshops, panel discussions, showcases, interviews, networking parties and keynote talks. Speakers will include hip-hop artist AKA, television and Radio presenter Phat Joe, the CEO of Native Rhythms, Sipho Sithole, the Head of International Trade Marketing at Believe Digital, Leigh Morgan and the Africori Head of Business Development Neil Naidoo.
Speaking on behalf of Africori, Neil will be part of the panel that will be discussing the new revenue models for the digital music industry. This session will explore the ways through which artists can monetise their intellectual property in the digital space.
