Spotify Expands Rollout of AI feature – DJ, across 50 markets.


Spotify’s DJ now available in 15 new African markets.


In February 2023, Spotify introduced its AI tool – DJ in beta mode. DJ taps into Spotify’s ethos of personalised listening. The feature is an AI guide that integrates your music taste to curate a playlist session that is mimicks the radio show format.

During the first half of the year, fans in US, Canada and the UK had the opportunity to hear AI-generated commentary alongside some personalised music recommendations. Now, the beta platform is being phased into 50 new territories, including a select number of countries in Africa.

This means Spotify premium subscribers in select markets in Europe, Asia, and Africa, as well as Australia and New Zealand will now have access to the English version of the feature via the desktop and mobile app.

HOW TO ACCESS DJ

DJ can be found in Spotify’s Music feed. Alternatively, you can also find it by tapping the search button and hopping onto the Made for You hub.
