Friday has finally arrived and the weekend is only but a little while away. As always, this past week has been amazing in the world of African music and to give you a good start to the weekend, we have rounded up some of the freshest music videos from the past week.

1. General- Like Dem Woman ft Ruffman

The highly anticipated music video for the song Like Dem Women was finally released and it was definitely worth the wait. General features the king of reggae dancehall, Ruffman. Together General and Ruffman created this masterpiece and it has received major airplay on most of Nigeria’s radio stations. Directed by O2 Media, the music video has General and Ruffman showing some love to woman as they dance to the rhythmic beats.

2. Vector – Popular

#A7 and Vector collaborated to create one of the best tracks and music videos that have come out of Africa. Popular is a testament of some of the awesome and challenging times that Vector has had while in the music and entertainment industry. Vector goes in heavy on these beats and he tells a story in the most amazing way. The music video showcases some of the people who have been influential in Vector’s rise to the top. It features stars such as Dbanj, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Phyno and Seyi Shay to name a few.

3. Linah – Hellow ft Christian Bella

Tanzanian Bongo Flava songstress Linah collaborated with Christian Bella on this stunning track. Directed by Khalfani, the music video was shot on a dreamy location.The song has island inspired rhythms and features shots of Linah singing the song and Christian joins her, while serenading her with sweet melodies.

4.Vector – Follow Me Dey Go

This song is a bit of an oldie but it’s definitely a goldie, taken from his second album titled The Second Coming, Vector flows over Caribbean style beats. The music video was shot and directed by Antwon Smith and was set on a beach in Miami, Florida.

5. Vector – King Kong Remix ft Phyno, Reminisce, Classiq & Uzi

Vector enlisted the help of some of Africa’s rap heavyweights to produce the banging King Kong Remix. This is one of the most highly anticipated music videos this year and it definitely delivered on every possible level. Directed by Mattmax, the music videos stars Vector, Phyno, Reminisce, Classiq and Uzi delivering some heavy flows and punchlines over some intense beats. The video also has to mystic, dark and impressive visuals. The track changed the game and is one for the books!
