This week, Africori announced a new partnership with Warner Music Group. The new relationship will see Africori and WMG work hand-in-hand in promoting African music to the world.

This strategic collaboration gives Africori access to the global network of WMG and its sister company, Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) while giving ADA access to Africa’s largest catalogue and A&R network, as well as enabling WMG to establish a presence in many African markets for the first time.

Warner Music Group is home to a collection of the best-known record labels in the music industry including Asylum, Atlantic, East West, Elektra, Parlophone, and Warner Records, working with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabelo and more.

Adam Tiran COO, Africori says: “It’s an amazing time for African music and we’re very proud to work with so many culturally vital artists. This partnership will give us tangible tools and a truly global network to help accelerate their careers and promote their music to new international audiences.”

Alfonso Perez Soto, EVP, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Warner Music, adds: “I’m delighted that we’ll be working together with Africori – and Yoel Kenan in particular – as they’ve been pioneers, fighting for the interests of artists and the music industry in Africa. We can harness the power of our global network to take their great African music to a truly global audience.”

Yoel Kenan, CEO, Africori, concludes: “We work with incredible artists and have some extremely talented A&Rs spotting fresh new talent; it’ll be really exciting to see them tap into Warner Music’s global network. The music market in Africa is starting to really gain traction and this deal means we’re well-positioned to support our artists as new opportunities open up.”
