Nviiri the Storyteller – “Sorry”
Nviiri the Storyteller ended the year with the biggest song in his country. The Kenyan star officially begins the roll-out for his next EP – Sad/Love Song – with the lead single Sorry.
South African mega-rapper, Blxckie, presents his Valentine’s Day project 4LUV. The 6-track mini-album follows the massive of his debut album B4Now. 4LUV is a full-on R&B project which depicts the various aspects of love.
Elzo Jamdong – “Coow Jibul” (ft. Coco Cissokho)
After nearly two years in the making, Kagwe Mungai unveils Safi Safi. Mungai originally made the song in 2020 before the height of the pandemic. The multi-skilled pieced together the missing elements and roped in Nviiri the Storyteller for the collaboration.
Marioo – “Mi Amor” (ft. Jovial)
Following a phenomenal 2022, Marioo kicks off the year with the official music video for Mi Amor, alongside Jovial.
DJ Obza switches up his production style for his sophomore album Uthando Lwami. The 12-track piece features the likes of Drip Gogo, Mr Brown, Leon Lee and more
OBT – “OH NO” (ft. Killertunes)
OBT enlists the services of renowned producer Killertunes for his latest offering OH NO. The pair use the mid-tempo afrobeats track to show off their musical prowess.
Paige & Sdala B – “Bekumnand’ Izolo”
Amapiano duo, Paige & Sdala keep rising to the top of the charts. So it is without a doubt that their twosome’s new banger Bekumnand’ Izolo will keep their winning streak.
Focalistic – “16 Days No Sleep”
While Focalistic continues on his mission of exporting amapiano to the rest of the world, the Pitori-born superstar no unveils the visuals to 16 Days No Sleep. The cut is the lead single from his current EP – President Ya Straata.
DJ Zoumanto – “Bow” (ft. Yoriday)
DJ Zoumanto ropes in Yoriday for Bow. The song emphasises the importance of unity and understanding each person will eventually receive their due blessings.
Chukido & Zādok – “Testimony”
Chukido and Zādok offer a message about the rejuvenating power of love via Testimony. The song was inspired by Chukido’s current boo. Testimony merges influences from afrobeats, amapiano and afro-pop.
Echo Deep unveils his latest masterpiece Maye. The tune is driven by pulsating percussions, synth and guitar riffs, and complemented by chants.
Last week, J Molley began the rollout of his forthcoming album Almost Dead. The announcement was accompanied by a single Up To where speak candidly about his struggles. The rapper puts those words into perspective via the official music video.
Pappy Kojo follows up the success of his debut album Logos II that a nod of honour to his hometown of Takoradi. Logos Hope is a 6-track EP where Kojo maps out his prospects.
The sequel features Medikal, Quamina MP, O’Kenneth and Reggie.
Logos Hope is due for release on 4 March 2022.
Nue_Sam takes the steps to the centre stage with her debut album Sipho. The poet has worked alongside industry giants as a featured artist. Sipho is a deeply personal mini-album via which she challenged herself through various expressions of her art.
To start the EP’s pre-order campaign, Nue_Sam offers up Mayeh.
Sipho will officially launch next Friday on 25 February 2022.
