For her first official solo release “Dust and Iron“, Durban silky songstress Red Robyn recounts a one night stand where she found forever that would never last.
Composed and written by Red Robyn, Dust and Iron enjoys a production collaboration from Sean Ross and the artist herself. Featuring lofty guitar sounds accompanying the dreamy, almost broken-hearted vocals of the singer.
2018 was a major kickstarter in the indie artist’s career as she not only played at the massive Oppikoppi festival but sealed the year winning the Johannesburg leg of Afropunk’s Battle Of The Band and as a result, signed a distribution deal with Africori and shared the main stage with international stars like Kaytranada, Moonchild Sanelly, YoungstaCPT and more.
The single is the first release is a build-up to her debut EP in September.
