Nviiri the Storyteller – “Nikita”
Nviiri the Storyteller has been cranking out hit-after-hit since his debut in 2019. Now he continues the streak with Nikita. The song is a foot-tapping bop on which Nviiri sings about a head-turning woman.
Sonic multipotentialite, Dunnie, unveils her mini-project – Amazon: The EP. Fans originally got a taste of the EP when she dropped Mosafejo in August. Amazon: The EP houses eight tracks and includes collaborations with H_ART The Band as well as The Cavemen.
Self-taught DJ and producer, Audiomarc gathers some of his famous friends in the hip hop game for his offering, Trap Addict. The 7-song ensemble is a collection of experiences, memories and unspoken desires.
Skillz – “Emazwen” (ft. Nkosazana and TNS)
Skillz teams up with Nkosazana and TNS on Emazwen. Set to a dance beat, the song tells the story of a migrant labourer who leaves her family behind for the city in order to put food on the table.
Ch’cco and Mellow & Sleazy – “Nkao Tempela”
Ch’cco and Mellow & Sleazy have been climbing up Shazam’s charts and setting social media alight with the #NkaoTempelaChallenge. With this surge, the fellas officially drop the single – Nkao Tempela.
Tanzanian hip-hop collective, WEUSI cap-off a super successful 2021 with Waoshe. The single comes after the release of their March 2021 album – AIR WEUSI. The anthem is a celebration of all that they have achieved and a welcoming of the festive season.
Tendaness & Jojo – “Tendaness & Jojo”
What began as chance interaction on social media has blossomed into a 5-track self-titled EP. For the mini-record Tendaness and Jojo blend together their respective dance and soul influences.
DJ Big Sky – “The Grootman Groove“
Renowned producer, DJ Big Sky has the December fever and his upcoming EP, The Grootman Groove seems to be the remedy. The announcement of this mini-project was preceded by Manyisa alongside fellow hitmaker – Lady Du.
To mark the roll-out of this body of work, Big Sky drops Chocolate (featuring Nobantu Vilakazi, Gilpa Spin,Villosoul and MshekeLezinto).
The Grootman Groove officially launches on 3 December 2021.
Social media darling, Khanyisa, capitalists on the momentum gained from her hit single Bheka Mina Ngwedwa by serving up her 5-track EP, Soft.
Soft officially launches on 26 November 2021.
