Multi-award-winning producer, Rexxie, flexes his music muscle and puts his versatility on full display for “A True Champion“. The body of work features an incredible array of artists, including Davido, Sho Madjozi, Oxlade and more.
El Mukuka – “Bosana” (Gaz Mawete & HVMZA)
Top Zambian producer and DJ El Mukuka presents “Bosana” – a collaboration where he reeled talents from the DRC and Belgium. The track seems Mukuka team up with HVMZA for the second time, and with the addition of Gaz Mawete, it is bound to get the bodies moving.
Joda Kgosi – “Sour Milk”
Promising R&B starlet Joda Kgosi finally drops her long-awaited mini-album “Sour Milk”. The title is a metaphor for a relationship that has gone array. The singer-songwriter weaves through the intricacies of the human experience via seven cuts.
KashCPT – “OPS”
Cape Town-born rapper, KashCPT reflects on his rise via his latest booming joint – “OPS“. The single is inspired by the current events in his life. The accompanying visuals are air force-inspired and were shot in his home city.
DAP The Contract – “Powers Vol. 2”
DAP The Contract provides the sequel to his May 2020 release – “Powers Vol. 2“. The second instalment sees him explore his Nigerian roots with a blend of Afrobeats. Dap opens “Powers Vol. 2” with “Sacrifices” which is fitting the first release from the album.
Shuffle Muzik – “Sghubu Sa Mapiano”
One-half of Team Mosha, Shuffle Muzik sets off with more music as a solo act. The Tshwane-raised producer provides the quintessential list of amapiano bangers on “Sgubu Sa Piano“.
Dreylo – “Mixed Feelings”
100 Crowns Monster Challenge champion, Dreylo unveils his debut project “Mixed Feelings“. The 6-track mini-album reflects on his journey thus far as an emerging artist in the Nigerian music scene. Not one to be boxed, Dreylo experiments with a multitude of sounds.
Jesse Jagz can start the weekend with an extra spring in their steps with the digital re-release of both “Jagz Nation” volumes. The albums were originally released in 2013 and 2014 respectively and vary sonically.
Wesley Keet – “MMXXI”
Beat-maker Wesley Keet puts forth his new tape, “MMXXI” (2021). The project was conceptualised this year between January and February, hence, the title. “MMXXI” draws influences from jazz and hip-hop beats.
Dani Draco – “Higher Life”
Dani Draco begins the official rollout of his forthcoming EP, “Higher Life”. The four-track record was preceded by the well-received lead single “Trigger“.
