Prolific Tanzanian producer, Abbah, finally launches his album ‘The Evolution‘. This body of work consists of 16 star-studded tracks, including JUX, Marioo, Darassa, Harmonize and more.
Through this album, the beat-master displays his growth. The album’s release is accompanied by the lead single’s, ‘Blessing‘, official video.

Reigning Afropunk Battle of the Bands champ, Muneyi pens an ode to love and lost named ‘Ndo Mu Wana‘. The title translates from his native tongue Tshivenda to I found them. ‘Ndo Muwana‘ is a stark reminder of how abruptly life can change from one polar opposite to the next.

Salatiel – “Africa Represented”
For the past year or so, Salatiel has been finalising his debut album ‘Africa Represented‘. The Cameroonian star takes listeners on a 20-track expedition on which he is joined by various other artists from across the continent.

Afrikan Roots – “uYanginika” (ft. DJ Buckz)
Afro-house trio, Afrikan Roots, tell a cautionary tale about reciprocity. ‘uYanginika‘ features the group’s frequent collaborator, DJ Buckz.
Rexxie & Mohbad – “KPK (Ko Por Ke)”
In December 2020, Rexxie and Mohbad closed off the year with amapiano-influenced ‘KPK (Ko Por Ke)‘. Now the pair presents the official visuals in which they race through the streets of Lekki, Nigeria.

Dreylo – “RAPPERS” (ft. Dremo)
We always aim to provide something new for Afro Fresh Friday and Dreylo’s ‘Rappers’ fits the profile perfectly. On the drill-infused track, Dreylo enlists Dremo.
Weusi – “Panzi La Bando” (ft. Khadija Kopa)
Tanzanian hip hop supergroup, WEUSI, presents the official video for ‘Panzi La Bando’. The single is the first from their upcoming album, ‘Air Weusi’ which is slated for 12 March 2021.

Ntosh Gazi – “Abaphuze” (ft. Mapara A Jazz)
Ntosh Gazi joins forces with hitmakers, Mapara A Jazz to give fans ‘Abaphuze‘. The beat for this track was produced in the same studio session as ‘John Vuli Gate’. Working from the momentum gained from the viral hit, Mapara A Jazz proceeded to cook up this energetic tune.

Robin Thirdfloor is known for taking inspiration from the 90s kwaito sound. ‘Ndosi‘ brings this sonic aesthetic into contemporary times. Layered with a multitude of references, the single takes its title from the late-80s drama Ubambo Lwam’.
