We present to you a mini break down of some of the hottest music videos from this past week, showcasing some hits from some of Africa’s top artists. It’s a pretty groovy playlist and is the best way to get the weekend started. Enjoy!
- Sean Pages – Blind (Remix) ft DJ Dimplez, L-Tido, Towdeemac, Kid X & Kwesta
Sean Pages recently released the visuals for his star-studded hit, Blind (remix). The track has an old-school feel to it as some of South Africa’s biggest rappers dropping some heavy punchlines.
2. Cassper Nyovest – No Worries
On the eve of his #FillUpTheDome victory, Cassper released the visuals for his reggae inspired single ‘No Worries’. The music video features images of him walking to wards the Dome and could be a metaphoric representation of the trials that he had to overcome before he could make history by being the first South African artist to perform a sold-out performance at the Dome.
3. Falz- Celebrity Girlfriend ft Reekado Banks
Nigerian hip-hop star Falz premiered his latest music video for the single ‘Celebrity Girlfriend’. The track features Reekado Banks on the catchy hook. The music video is quite comical, it Falz pleading with celebrity look a-likes in an attempt to find his ultimate celebrity girlfriend.
4. Brenda Fassie – Weekend Special
On Tuesday this week, the world celebrated what would have been the late Brenda Fassie‘s 51st birthday. Although she is no longer with us, we are privileged to still have the amazing songs that she blessed the world with. Weekend Special was one of her most popular hits and is still an international favourite.
5. Vusi Nova – Thandiwe
Soulful singer, Vusi Nova is back with his latest single ‘Thandiwe’, The song has been blazing the airwaves since it’s release and has fans impatiently waiting for the release of his third album. He has not released the official music video for this touching song, so in the mean time, we’ll just have to enjoy the impressive live version.
