Spring has finally sprung and there is no better way to celebrate the departure of the cold weather and thick sweaters than by blasting some of the hottest releases. It’s a known fact that the warm weather brings with it some of the hottest parties and the most amazing festivals, so it’s only right that we compile a playlist of some of the best jams that will be rocking this season.
1. JK – Open
Multi-award winning, Zambian born JK has produced another hit and this one has an infectious beat with a catchy tune, it’s a contemporary love song with a twist. Perfect for any braai or friendly get- together. JK definitely hit the big time with this one.
2. Eegun – Ise
Nigerian born, London-based Afrobeats artist, Eegun recently released the visuals for this upbeat and uplifting track. It has an easy going flow that makes you want to soak in the lyrics while enjoying the beats that have an added psychedelic feel to them.
3. Jux- Looking For You ft Joh Makini
Looking For You is the latest single from Tanzanian R&B star, Jux. There is a greater emphasis on his sultry vocals as he croons over some pretty dope beats. This time, Jux brought in the help of Joh Makini who adds magnificent flows to this already hot jam.
4. Wizkid – Ojuelegba remix ft Drake & Skepta
The homie Wizkid does it again, a laid back jam with island-influenced beats Ojuelegba is currently rocking the musical world. The remix features Drake and Skepta who are both hip-hop heavyweights and together, all three artists have managed to create a complete masterpiece!
5. Mi Casa – We Own The Night ft Cassper Nyovest
A genius collaboration that came about through the Coke Studios project and it has produced an impressive hit that will be rocking all night clubs, braais and chill sessions way into the festive season. Mi Casa is known for producing hot hits and this time, they have joined with the award-winning hip hop hit maker Cassper Nyovest to create this stunning piece of art!
