Wanitwa Mos, Sir Trill and Nkosazana Daughter – “Kuwe” (ft. Master KG)
Yet another banger coming your way courtesy of Wanitwa Mos. Helmed by label head Master KG, Kuwe is co-lead by Sir Trill and Nkosazana Daughter. The latter has worked with Wanitwa Mos on two other monster hits, namely Sofa Silahlane and Dali Nguwe. Kuwe oozes childhood nostalgia as it interpolates a South African nursery rhyme.
Kagwe Mungai – “Ghostika”
Kenyan afro-pop sensation, Kagwe Mungai is currently cooped up in the studio working on his sophomore effort. While fans wait in anticipation for that project the crooner tackles the relatable scenario of being ghosted via Ghostika. The self-produced and upbeat single approaches ghosting from a constructive perspective and exhorts the audience to embrace the situation with a sprinkle “primary character energy”.
Marioo – “Dear Ex”
Marioo enlists the directorial skills of Director Kenny to help execute the vision for Dear Ex. Produced by Tony Duardo, the song is a dedication to his former flame where he informs her that he has moved on and is content with his current situation.
$pacely – “Miss Universe” (ft. Dumey)
Known for his varied musical styles, $pacely expands his repertoire to include amapiano: one of the continent’s fastest-growing musical genres. He enlists Dumey, whose vocals fly above the distinctive log-drum beats, vibrant synths, and robust bass lines that have become synonymous with amapiano. DJ K.O produced the song Miss Universe, which features a catchy chorus sung by the La Même gang star.
