Abidoza – “Phola


 For his latest musical venture, Abidoza makes lemonade out of lemons. Titled Phola, the album depicts the healing of the soul from everything life has thrown at him. He enlists the help of his childhood heroes like Judith Sephuma, KB, Ladiaudiosoul, and others, to translate his most candid body of work.

Fezeka Dlamini, Nomfundo Moh & Naledi Aphiwe – “Uyangijabulisa”


 Afro-pop sensations Fezeka DlaminiNomfundo Moh, and Naledi Aphiwe serenade the heart on their joint single – Uyangijabulisa. The upbeat ballad is a celebration of monogamous love as each singer supplicates their partner to a life of eternal joy.

PatricKxxLee – “Room 37”


 Following a two-year hiatus, PatricKxxLee returns with his latest body of work – Room 37. The largely self-produced album plays with temporality by bouncing between the future and nostalgia. PatricK explain his intention of the album: 

“My goal was to make songs that make you feel that warm euphoric cloud inside. Infectious songs that [that] display my outlook on the situations that match the mood of the sound. For me, ROOM 37 is the balance between art and turning up.”

Londie London, DJ Maphorisa and Yumbs  – “Themba”


 South African businesswoman and reality star, Londie London steps back into her musical shoes via a new single titled – Themba. The song interpolates a local women’s protest anthem that speaks about being taken for granted. Themba was produced by DJ Maphorisa and Yumbs.

I Can’t Give Up Now hitmaker, Oufadafada unveils his album of the same name. I Can’t Give Up Now (Keagana) mixes dance and gospel sensibilities to convey a message of hope and healing.

Mahwoo – “The Chosen” 

Since bursting on the scene in 2019, Mawhoo has been on a hot streak of hits; lending her vocals and pen to an impressive list of collaborations. The KwaZulu-Natal born star is finally ready to present her eagerly-awaited debut album – The Chosen. On the full-length release, the songstress draws inspiration from her love of traditional Zulu music while also expanding on her amapiano catalogue which has gained her an army of fans.

The Chosen scheduled to officially drop on 15 September 2023.

Mdoovar – “Isithembiso”


 Producer extraordinaire Mdoovar presents his latest labour of love Isithembiso. The title derives from the isiZulu word meaning a promise. Thus, the title embodies only about the promises he made to his loved ones but also a contract with himself; it is a monument to his  steadfast tenacity and willpower.

Isithembiso consists of 14 tracks and is due out on 18 August 2023.

  Musical forces Ice Beats Slide and Sbuda Meleather merge their creative minds for a collaborative piece called Hakuna Matata. The 9-track album epitomise their hard-knocking brand of amapiano.

Hakuna Matata is due out on 8 September 2023.

Sfarzo Rtee – “House Of Sgija II”


Sfarzo Rtee continues the House of Sjiga series. The second instalment of the anthology is more expansive than its predecessor by drawing influences not just from amapiano but afro-tech too. House of Sjiga II features collaborations with Kelvin Momo, Mashudu and more.

The seven track project is slated for 25 August 2023.
